Why the 80-10-10 Diet?

Animals eat about 40 times the amount of calories that they provide as food on your plate. In order to do so, they also concentrate the chemicals in what they eat 40 times. So every time you eat food from an animal source, you are getting chemical concentrations 40 times greater than if you ate your calories from plants. When you consume grains and other starchy products, you get as much of a chemical hit as when you consume fruits and vegetables. Sure, all of these foods are available in organic versions, and those are better for you.
